I must confess that the only musicals I’ve seen in person feature rather minimal dancing on the part of the singers involved. I’ve never seen anyone at the Kennedy Center do the hair-flipping, boob-jiggling stuff that most of the female pop stars do today.

… though that’s probably a good thing, hahaha.

I will concede that I haven’t seen many live musicals, and that there are most certainly performers out there who have trained to sing and dance simultaneously.

EXACTLY i went to the tour and it was soooo good it was brilliant, and she upgraded us to VIP which was so cool and every singer has to do tht if thy are gonna dance and perform no point dancin and singing live if thy are gonna sound crap, and its her song so she can mime to it if she wants its not like she miming someone elses song.

Britney has redefined what it means to go to a concert- you don’t actually have to sing a word. This show is the biggest fraud since Milli Vanilli. She should be charged.

i saw her live n tbh i preferd her lipsinging with bakc up live taps, tht way she cn dance n perform liek she dus betsmn nt sound shit. PCD were fukin shit shit shit cos they danced n sung so fuk wot ppl say every1 mims ciara mims but sings live wen she cn no1 btiches bout her so FUCKING CARRY ON BRIT MAKE US PROUD N SHAKE THT ASS :P

i must agree with u. 4 example, PCD, they are singing alive, but they sound horrible while dancing and singing at the same time.. like u said, if u were just standing there and just opening a mouth.. thats bad. but if u move, then u sound bad of u sing at the same time.. ohh ppl dont understand that

Being able to perform w/o getting out of breath is a skill that you need to learn/be taught. It’s just that when people pay that much money for a ticket they don’t want to hear a recording that they could hear at in their car. Don’t get me wrong, I love Britney Spears’ music, but she doesn’t sound very good live because of her style of music.

I don’t why people cough such an attitude about singers like this lip synching… can YOU sing without panting when you dance around, even when it’s just casually boppin’ around in your living room? Artists who do a lot of moving around in their shows (like Britney or MJ) I easily forgive for lip synching because nobody would WANT to hear them pant into the mic!

Now, if all you do during your concert is stand in front of a mic… then lip-synching is a no-no.

Someone who is “Over” doesn’t have the highest grossing tour of 2009. I read in the paper today that Britney Spears is recession proof lol
