Is Britney Spears leaving the X Factor? Hi guys, happy Monday and thanks for tuning in! The Daily Star is claiming that Britney Spears is set to leave the hit show after this week’s grand two-night finale. This news comes just after LA Reid announced he would not be returning for season 3. A senior executive at Fox told the star QUOTE: “Simon had hoped Britney would be a ratings boost but hat simply hasn’t happened. It’s no coincidence she is not in talks about a new deal.” This news would not come as that much of a surprise, as the hit Fox show has seen a decrease in ratings and reportedly shelled out over 15 million dollars to sign Brit-Brit. On average, only eight million viewers tuned per episode, compared to nearly twelve million last night. Our pals over at Gossip Cop say that this story has absolutely no merit, though. Word on the street is that Demi Lovato is currently is contract negotiations for next season. Now, I’m pretty bummed about this news — I love me some Britney Spears and can only hope this rumor is just that — a rumor. What do you guys think though? umm.. simon wants and encourages demi to act like that towards him… it’s all part of the show. it was one of the reasons he hired her.. he wanted drama and fights/arguments. he WANTED demi to be like that on the show.
