Timbaland Reuniting Pinky and Stinky

RWD reports Master musical puppeteer Timbaland is tweaking more than melodic strings this week, as he controls the fates of R&B superstar Justin Timberlake and troubled starlet Britney Spears by arranging a duet between the ex-lovers.

Scorned Timberlake candidly cried rivers and poured lament into a number of tracks for the debut album Justified after a much publicized 2002 break-up with his childhood friend and sweetheart of four years: the blonde fidelity-deficient Spears. At the time however, Britney was riding high on a string of successful pop singles followed by a Neptune’s collaboration that marked her hike into R&B terrain. Several years later, time has turned tables for both artists as the former readies a mammoth world arena tour that rivals the grandeur of Jacko to accompany his polished multi-platinum discs. Whilst the latter, has a career in sharp decline, a penchant for slipknots made of bed-linen (Spears tried to commit suicide earlier this month at her rehab clinic) and adorns a hairstyle clearly inspired by Richard O’ Brien of Crystal Maze fame.

Recently super-producer Timbaland approached J.T.- with whom he’s worked extensively crafting the majority of FutureSex/LoveSound preventing a sophomore slump- and pleaded that he aid propel Britney back to the top of the charts. Pride aside and acknowledging that he practically owes Timbo his career, Justin sympathized with Britney’s dire state, “I feel her pain, it really bothers me”, and agreed to collaborate.

The duo are now planning a visit to a Los Angeles recording studio this week, and with big Timmy behind the boards they will cover the popular Motown duet All I Need To Get By recorded by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell in 1968, and then re-made by Method Man and Mary J. Blige in ’95.

Can the pair attempt to bring sexy back any further than it already is?
