There is definitely pitch correction (Autotune, or some other type) used in the production of this tune. You may be referring to the EXTREME correction mode (Cher effect). It’s just used in a “more natural” mode, although it is still un-natural sounding in spots. Still, a good production.

fan-made for sure. it’s the exact same vocal track (most notably in the first verse, which is exactly the same) just minus the background and harmonies. im a huge britney fan, but come on folks let’s not say this is something it isnt.

it’s still tuned, it just doesn’t have all of the extra vocal tracks. sounds pretty great like this tho.

@93simo1 Saying it has “no auto-tune” implies that there is no pitch correction, and that is clearly not the case. This is not what Britney sounds like live – this is Britney less auto-tuned than the version released to radio and retail, but still with obvious vocal tuning and/or pitch correction.

I does not see why she looked for the criticism by modifying her voice!
The result is much better without the auto-tune! Britney has a very beautiful voice !

@aandrebs90 Actually I think the alternate melody in the last chorus was a pitch rework after the vocals were recorded. Not that she couldnt do it herself but they probably played with her voice and thought it sounded great and then then made her listen to it and she agreed. And because it’s a background vocal it didnt really need to be re-recorded. Just my thought.

@Narutoloverjo That’s not true because many reports came out (you can look them up with a simple google search) that she’s only sang live for about 40% of the show. She definitely is lip syncing but she’s probably practiced to make it more convincing that she’s not

People don’t listen to Britney for amazing vocals, they listen to her music because it’s fun and the tune is good and they go to her shows to be entertained, not listen to her screaming on stage.
