Britney Spears Adds DJ Pauly D to Tour

What’s up everyone, I’m bridget Daly for ClevverMusic. We’ve just gotten word that Pauly D from Jersey Shore is crashing a major girl powered tour…and it’s none other than Britney Spears! That’s right, according to MTV, Pauly has been added as an opening act on the Femme Fatale tour for 6 of her August dates. He’s set to hit the road with Spears on August 17 in Grand Rapids, Michigan wrapping up on August 25 in Charlotte, South Carolina. The Jersey Shore star said in a statement, “I am so excited to be performing on the Britney Spears Femme Fatale tour. Britney is one of my favorite performers and certainly one of this generation’s most influential artists. It’s an amazing platform to connect with my fans around the country.” This isn’t the first time Pauly and Brit have hooked up—he played a warm up for one of her shows in Vegas back in March, and said the opportunity legitimized his career. No word on what sound Pauly will be going for on stage, but he definitely won’t be spinning any of Brit’s hits. He said, “A DJ should not play the artist’s songs at her concert ’cause she has to perform these songs,” he said. “I’m not going to be playing any Britney before she performs; maybe after.
