@HeresTheCircus because of these mega record companies we do not get to see actually talented people create and evolve. The occasional talent breaking through like Norah Jones or Amy Winehouse makes it either as a token in a big record company or through independent labels. And they never achieve the superstar marketing machinery building through billions Britney&Co are granted (which may be good for them in a way, actually). Remains that consumers are being fooled and de-educated.

They prefer to instal talentless puppets (who have no voice – Britney’s voice live has been recorded by technicians she is hideous and just sings with support of her studio-enhanced voice on playback) who conform to beauty ideals and image requirements.
