But Britney wants way more money than they are offering! Britney is reportedly in serious talks to fill the spots. Simon Cowell and LA Reid won’t confirm whether she has been picked, but it certainly looks that way!! Britney’s fiance/agent Jason Trawick is negotiating the contract and could possible close the deal next week. Simon Cowell is reportedly the one who approached Britney about joining the show. So since she is in demand, she can call the shots! What exactly are they negotiating? E! News reports that Britney was offered million to do the show, but she’s holding out for million. Britney is signed to Sony Music’s RCA Records, which also has exclusive rights to ‘X- Factor’s artists. Spears is one of Sony’s biggest acts, so she would be the perfect mentor to the aspiring wannabes.
