Britney Spears X Factor Hosting Contract: $15 Million

Paula Abdul’s out, Britney Spears is in. After cleaning house earlier this year, The X Factor is working out the fine points of a contract with Britney Spears that would have the 30-year-old pop star fill one of the vacant judge’s seats next season, joining LA Reid and Simon Cowell, worth an estimated million. That’s 10 times as much as Nicole Scherzinger was reportedly making and far more expensive than Paula Abdul’s .5 million price tag. While there hasn’t been a formal announcement yet, Simon Cowell had this to say on TMZ Live: “I would love to have her on the show. I think it would be a coup. I think she would be a fascinating person to sit next to.” Of course, if the Femme Fatale doesn’t help the show top American Idol’s ratings, she may not be sitting there for long.
