Demi Lovato Joins Britney Spears On X Factor: Simon Cowell Builds Pop Star Super-Judge Panel
X-Factor will have some fresh faces next season, as Demi Lovato and Britney Spears are set to join the cast. Creator and Executive Producer Simon Cowell has built himself a super-panel of pop star judges. Lovato and Spears are joining Cowell and LA Reid next season as judges for ‘The X Factor’ after a season where not one but two judges were fired including Nicole Sherzinger and Paula Abdul. It was previously rumored that Miley Cyrus would be getting the spot Demi Lovato just snatched up. but – after the first few shows, the ratings will go down, and people will be talking bad about Britney online. It will be more negative stuff in the media about her than positive. Simon has always been a britney fan for some reason, but i bet he will be rude to her by the end of the season both in person and in the media. he won’t find a bond or the chemistry as he has with Paula. He’s trying to find a new Paula that isn’t Paula, but I just see this as a disaster.

There’s two reasons why I think Simon is adding her on: 1. because “The Voice” is their competition/rivalry right now, and the show has Britney’s long time media rivalry – Xtina, so he’s putting the two up against each other. Xtina will win this battle – she’s ruthless, articulate, knows how to be a vocal coach and performance coach, and she’s rude/and brings controversy like Simon – so makes good tv. 2. It’s Britney. Millions will tune in just becuz it’s britney.

But note – I thought Jimmy Fallon were do horrible as a host of a late night talk show. I thought NBC were foolish to hire him. He was too awkward and nervous, and hadn’t been funny to me in a long time. His first night on the show – I thought I was 100% right in my prediction. The show was awful. He was so nervous, and interviewed poorly. But now – he’s mastered it and it was a genius move by NBC, so I was wrong. Hopefully I’m wrong about Britney, but I have a feeling I’m not.

I wish it would go like that, but I honestly don’t think it will. She’s very awkward now in interviews, and that once sweet, innocent or what seemed innocent girl is gone in many ways. She’s older now, a mother, hardened, less respected and liked by many, including her peers. Yes – people always (in general) want her to do well becuz she is nice. But – Paula Abdul is nice too, and the media were harsh on her as a judge. It will be worse for Britney. It’s a bad move for her and Simon.

I get your point. I don’t think we’ve seen all of Britney, just yet. She went through a lot so I can kind of see why she’s so nervous and withdrawn but I really think this will help her open up and be the girl she was before all that breakdown mess. She had a lot of personality so hopefully if she calms down it’ll shine through. I think it’s a good idea for the simple fact that she’ll look like a doll every week and people won’t think she’s crazy or bald anymore, which is always a plus lol.

probably because Demi is young – & they need to capture the younger generation, and probably because Britney asked for her – and they have to keep Britney happy. I think Simon is foolish to have Britney on the show, and I think it’s a poor move for her. I like her, and I’ll tune into the show for her, but will probably quickly tune out because I have a feeling she’ll have really nothing to say, and she’ll say the same thing over and over. She’ll be just like Paula Abdul.She’s too nice to judge
