Dave, is there a particular reason your mixing room isn’t particularly acoustically treated? I mean, I can hear the ER’s off your voice pretty clearly. Do you find it makes a difference mixing like that, as opposed to mixing in a treated room which is basically dead acoustically? Also, huge thanks for making the series! I’m watching them all and taking notes!

You should care you silly ‘men’. You’re just embarrassed is all.

I enjoyed it for the most part. Most of the time it felt like she was trying to figure out how to answer the questions without giving away too much, which makes sense. Overall enjoyable. Dave’s Into The Lair series is much more informative IMO.

Hey dumbum, I d’care
February 24th, 2013 at 6:55 pm
That was informative AND visually stimulating.
Addressing the kick/bass reticulation has become more and more of a task for audio engineers as technology has progressed. In contemporary pop music, it seems that the kick drum plays a much bigger role than ever and getting that correlation between bass drum and bass synth/guitar plays a bigger part in mixing. Thanks for addressing that in-depthly.

What a stupid, sleazy, comment. I’m sure Dave and Herb don’t want you anywhere near their knobs.

This is unbelievable, I am also one of few females in my engineering class as well. Marcella and I have so much in common…
I feel like she’s telling my story, with the exception that she’s already there! I have 18 months left before graduating with my BOS and I would LOVE to be a part of the Red Bottoms foundation. Please keep me posted. I love watching your show…THANKS!
