“I just create the music and left the engineers to beat the problems and make the music come to life”…. Thats what I WANT TOO
February 27th, 2013 at 7:03 am
I produce and compose music but I didn’t understand any of that, so technical!

Can someone tell legend darkchild i wanna meet him
February 27th, 2013 at 7:03 am
People often forget its not the gear that makes the song.Getting into a room with the latest equipment or sounds wont give you a good song.Maybe a hit that people wont remember in 2 months.A good song with the right production can end up being sumthing, beats alone do nothing. The whole aproach has reversed and music dying as a consecuence.IMHO.My best songs I recorded back when I didnt had high end gear. Now I can do tons of “tracks” radio ready music, but music is art not copy n paste.

Thanks I will be doing some research on this. I hope it will be possible to do this mod on the new mpc Renaissance when it comes out that thing looks promising.
February 27th, 2013 at 7:03 am
Hi, thanks for watching! What DarkChild is referring to are the individual outputs of the MPC. He moded them so their output is hotter (louder) than usual. This allows him to track more aggressive sounding drum patterns which he can then continue to mix once in Pro Tools. This is a technical modification and should be researched before doing it yourself so you don’t damage the MPC.

What does he mean by having all of his outs maxed out? I just got an mpc and Im trying to pick up some tips.

thanx…really appreciate it
February 27th, 2013 at 7:03 am
Hi, thanks for watching! DarkChild also prefers the Yamaha NS-10 near field monitor because of it’s frequency range. They are designed to be flat and represent consumer grade listening devices so if you can make your mix sound good on the NS-10′s chances are your mix will translate better when played through the listeners ear phones, car stereo or home system.

what other monitors does he use besides the auratone?
February 27th, 2013 at 7:03 am

DarkChild is the man! Very inspiring to say the least.
February 27th, 2013 at 7:03 am
Darkchild is so Sickk that there’s beats that he’s produced for artist that we don’t even know about.
February 27th, 2013 at 7:03 am
Your what great
February 27th, 2013 at 7:03 am
haha, not really dude. The stars are like the front men, they get the attention but they die quicker also. If you a producer, you have longevity. Also stars are likely to be vain bc they are judged on many superficial factors, whereas producers lay low, under the radar, in other words, CHILLIN’ !
February 27th, 2013 at 7:03 am
he has a lava lamp, I wish one day, I could have a lava lamp!!!
February 27th, 2013 at 7:03 am

February 27th, 2013 at 7:03 am
its not fair how artist get more respect than producers
February 27th, 2013 at 7:03 am
I hate how the singers are the ones that are called the artists ! Its the producers that are the artists ! The singers just sing over they’re work !
February 27th, 2013 at 7:03 am
