Why do people expect Britney to do this song in any other way than Britney Spears? She does it in her own style. This is an Arrows original song (written by Alan Merrill and Jake Hooker) from 1975. First covered by Joan Jett in 1979 on vinyl (Vertigo records) and it was a flop. Joan Jett re-recorded it in 1982 and with tremendous promotion from Neil Bogart on Boardwalk records and had a hit with this Arrows cover. I like both covers, Spears and Jett, because they’re both true to their own style.
