Just got back from seeing Spring Breakers which I didn’t think was a great movie, in fact I thought it was actually quite terrible and when I first saw this scene I cracked up. It was so random and cringe worthy! But now looking back, I do realize the messages the scene was trying to convey. Like contrasting the innocence with the darkness. It just didn’t do it very well as you couldn’t get emotionally attached to the characters. This movie was not touching or poetic even though it tried to be.

what a wonderful scene. This movie is so current and effective, haters just don’t see how it represents something real about the way kids are living nowadays and the fine line between a fun time and dangerous excess. I loved it. Maybe it doesn’t put its point across that well but the acting was great and the music was awesome
